Yes, I want to reduce my carbon footprint!
Many know us for our nonprofit food and nutrition programs serving greater Seattle since 2012, but our real passion lies in 22 years of recognizing, reducing and bringing awareness to societal waste across America. Over this time we have served one million plant based meals, diverted 2 million pounds of resources from landfills, and prevented or offset the release of at least 1 million tons of greenhouse gases.
Waste takes many forms on a societal and individual level, from rampant food waste to a culture that elevates convenience, single use plastics, and disposable packaging and products. We know on a conscious level what our individual waste has done to this planet, cumulatively creating the Great Pacific Garbage Patch and contributing to climate change. Though this problem can feel overwhelmingly large, there is a lot that we as individuals can do to interrupt society’s destructive pattern of normalized wastefulness. For All’s work is to reduce waste, reclaim resources, reconnect with our community and earth, and inspire people to stand with us in resisting and bringing awareness to wasteful practices in society and in our daily lives.
